Supervision for Social Work Licensure
In addition to providing individual therapy, Janet provides licensure supervision to Social Workers currently working toward their LCSW. She is currently accepting new supervisees.
I enjoy providing social work licensure supervision because of the enthusiasm and excitement present in entry level social workers. It reminds me of why I chose social work as a profession, which is reaffirming for me. I also enjoy helping social workers grow professionally including figuring out what career interests and goals they have. My supervision style is that of a mentor or teacher, and I enjoy the collaborative relationships I have had with those I have supervised. During my employment with Fulton State Hospital I supervised several social work intern students which I found very rewarding when they completed their studies. I also provided social work licensure supervision to colleagues at Fulton. I am currently providing licensure supervision to two LMSW’s who are preparing to take the LCSW exam next year.

- “Janet supervised me when during my BSW practicum in 2008. I enjoyed her supportive, nonjudgmental style. She encouraged me to follow my own interests and helped me learn more about mental health topics, such as Mindfulness, that I was interested in. She is easy to talk to and helped me feel comfortable and confident as I started my career. Anyone who sees her for social work licensure supervision will feel lucky to have her reassuring support!” –Jessica Tappana, LCSW
- Janet has been a great asset as my supervisor working on my clinical license. She has many years of experience and continuing education behind her that allow her to be insightful when I bring questions and dilemmas to the table. She is caring and compassionate as she provides guidance in the career field of clinical social work. –Shelley Beckley, LMSW ~ Counselor
