Yoga for Anxiety

I am very excited to announce that Aspire Counseling is partnering with Chelsea Olson to offer a Yoga for Anxiety series at our office in Cherry Hill! Our mental health therapists specialize in treating anxiety and have found that many of our clients benefit from taking yoga classes. When I learned that Chelsea specializes in teaching yoga to those who have experienced trauma or suffer from anxiety, I knew we had to find a way to partner together! What makes this yoga class slightly different than what you’d see somewhere else?

  • Chelsea has sought out training and information specifically on how to use yoga to help people find healing from trauma and/or anxiety. She is knowledgeable about the mind/body connection when it comes to anxiety and incorporates teaching into her sessions!

  • The class size is limited to only SIX participants. We know that for some of our clients being in large groups can be triggering or if you’ve not done yoga before you may worry that you will be self-conscious. This small size also makes it possible for Chelsea to somewhat individualize the classes.

  • The class will be held in Aspire Counseling office in Cherry Hill. Not only is this a central location, but the office is set up to be as inviting as possible.

  • Because you’ll sign up for several class sessions, our hope is that the small group will become more and more comfortable with one another and Chelsea will have the ability to help you go deeper into learning about yourself and how to manage your anxiety!

  • An Aspire Counseling therapist will be on hand for each session. Chelsea will also be available to speak to people individually of course, but having both her and a therapist available means that you will be able to have someone at all times that you can process with if needed.

A FREE demo class will be offered on January 29th from 6-7:15 pm so you can get a feel for the class. The series will then be held on Mondays from February 12 through March 5th from 6-7:15. The series will be limited to only six participants so you’ll want to register ASAP. You can find additional information here. We are very excited to begin this unique partnership! Please let us know if you have any questions and we look forward to seeing you at the demo class on 1/29 at 6:00 pm!
