Rachael Sackreiter MSW, LCSW

Hi, I’m Rachael Sackreiter. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adults who have ongoing challenges with depression, anxiety and trauma. My goal is to help you stop feeling overwhelmed, depressed, and stuck and start encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, depressed, anxious, or stuck? Or do you feel like you are struggling to heal from past trauma? Through therapy, I can help.

My Journey To Becoming A Therapist

I’m no different from the clients I see. Like everyone else, I’m human. I’ve been been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. As humans we all experience hardships and challenges and those can become transformative moments in our life. We are all capable of healing and moving toward the things that are important to us.

Helping People Gives My Life Meaning

Being a Therapist is an honor. I love guiding people towards positive changes and watching them transform their lives. The most rewarding thing about being a Therapist is seeing a person walk away lighter, more free, and excited about their life.

I am committed to encouraging you to see healing and transformation.

I Have A Strong Pull Towards Helping And Bring An Open, Non-judgemental Presence To Sessions

I have a natural ability to:

  • Collaborate with people to set goals and help them reach them

  • Be flexible on the path of discovering what’s going on

  • Inspire hope for getting better

  • Help clients heal their past and manage the present

People who know me often say that I am a good listener who can sit with people, even when things feel dark or hopeless.

Our Counseling Sessions Are Focused On You

Sessions will provide you with the space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. In feeling safe and comfortable, you’ll be able to heal and move towards a more flexible and mindful life.

It’s important to me to create safety within session and ensure that the process is collaborative. There isn’t a “one size fits all” approach to Therapy. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns. I am committed to learning and training to provide the best therapeutic experience for my clients. I use a variety of modalities based on your needs, these include CBT, ACT, Mindfulness-based approaches, and CPT.

My goal is to guide you toward a life that is authentic, more connected to yourself and others and purposeful.

My Professional Background

I received my Masters of Social Work from The University of Denver in 2012. I have experience in community mental health, health care, and long-term care. I have worked with clients on depression, anxiety, chronic illness, grief, caregiver support and trauma. I have a particular passion and focus on trauma and healing.

As A Therapist, I Embrace The Following Philosophies

  • I believe that you deserve to feel better

  • I believe that you are worthy of love and care

  • I believe that you are strong enough to be present with what you may be going through

  • I believe that loving and accepting ourselves for who we are, scars and all, is one of the most courageous things we can do

  • I believe that even if we feel like we’ve lost hope, it’s possible to show up, commit to ourselves, and do what it takes to start feeling better
